One of the Greatest Things Ever

This was going to be my Today's Teen Moment, but it really is one of my favorite all time clips. Straight from Beverly Hills here is Andrea Zuckerman getting what's coming to her for being so annoying.

His Big Head Is Gonna Eat Your Face

There’s Something About Dreary Weather and Period Pieces

Yesterday evening it was the kind of day that called for a bowl of soup and some blankets to cuddle in on the couch. It also screamed for a period piece. I don’t know what it is about cold, rainy days, but they always put me in the mood for a British miniseries preferably that takes place in the 18th or 19th century. While I wasn’t caught up watching the coverage of Sandy, I settled on the miniseries of Sense and Sensibility from 2008. It’s pretty great. Here’s the trailer all full of swoons and silly hairpieces.

Halloween Cake Time

Some fun Halloween cakes to get you in the spirit.

6 Days Til Halloween

Do Not Fear

Chewbacca is here, and he's ready to party Halloween style.

I Love Me Some Slaps

When I was a kid there were no cooler fashion accessories than the slap bracelet. Not only did they come in hundreds of colors, prints, etc. but they were fun to throw at wrists. I think they rose in street cred once they started to be banned from schools. The fact that someone thought it was a great idea to market bendy strips of metal covered in plastic to kids is pretty ingenious. I must admit, I totally broke down and bought a ton of the on ebay the other day. I can’t wait until they arrive. It’s gonna be a slap bracelet day every day.

The Only Thing That Can Make the SNES Cooler is Paul Rudd

Tis the Season for Cereal

One thing about this time of year that I appreciate is the reappearance of three of my favorite cereals. Around Halloween Count Chocula, Boo Berry and Frankenberry are sold more widely than the rest of the year. All three are pretty incredible and take me back to when I was a kid.

8 Days Til Halloween

Community Batman Edition

I found some more pictures people made of the Community gang dressed as other characters. This time it's as various Batman characters which is pretty appropriate seeing how Abed made a pretty good Batman.

What Traumatized My Childhood

That's right it was the Wheelers from Return to Oz. I loved that movie (still do), but everytime it got to the part where the Wheelers come out I got terrified. Something about their insane laughter and crazy helmets make them pretty unnerving. To this day when I hear that squeak of the wheels I get all tense. I think the best thing about this movie though, is that it's a Disney film. Remember when kids movies where actually kind of terrifying?

This Upsets Me

I don't like it. It makes me feel unpleasant.

National Nut Day

Today is national nut day. I guess we're all supposed to eat some nuts and then appreciate them. So go and do that. Maybe eat a Payday. That's super nutty.

When Is October 19th?

My favorite morning show, Troy and Abed in the Morning, gives us a little insight into when exactly the new season of Community will air.

I’m Dreaming of Zit Stickers

One of the best things about sleepovers in the early nineties was playing Girl Talk. Not only did you get to answer truth or dare type questions to earn cards that would tell you your future, but if you wouldn’t do what the magic spinning wheel said you would have to wear an infamous zit sticker. Really, it makes for incredible board game.

12 Days Til Halloween

Katamari Cousin of the Day

Marcy

She is a cousin who has appeared in every Katamari game. In Katamari Damacy she wore an outfit with different shades of violet, but in the sequels decided on a multicolored look. She is a cousin who has discovered fashion but hasn't chosen what to wear yet.

Get Your Nerf On with Seth Green

This commercial would be pretty incredible on it's own, but the tough voice Seth Green does takes it up five levels of awesome.

I'm Gonna Eat Your Face

Community X-Men Edition

I saw this online yesterday, and it made me super happy. I like that Annie's Boobs is thrown in as the Lockheed character. Also, the Dean as Emma Frost is pretty incredible.

It’s Like Flying on the Wings of an Eagle

Earlier this year I rode my very first winged rollercoaster. This shouldn’t seem too strange since the first one debuted in the U.S. in March of this year at Dollywood of all places. For those of you that don’t know, Dollywood is a theme park in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. It’s a weird place that mixes shows, crafty things, pretty sweet rides and of course Dolly Parton music blasting from the speakers. All in all it’s pretty incredible. Their winged coaster is The Wild Eagle. The thing that is really awesome about it is that it’s built on a large hill full of trees. They kept as many trees as possible when building the track so it really does feel like you’re flying over the trees. Also, it really helps that the seats are on the sides of the track so there is nothing above or below you. I highly recommend it.

Did I mention how comfy the seats are? They have this rubberish harness that keeps you all nice and snug in your seat without being uncomfortable.

The amazing view from the coaster.

National No Beard Day

Yep, today is National No Beard Day. Say bye-bye to those faces full of flowing, luscious hair.If you're like me and have a cute little bearded lumberjack boyfriend today may be the day to sneak into his home and shave it off while he's sleeping...

Friday the 13th - NES Edition

I guess since it is almost Halloween I started thinking about the Friday the 13th game for the original nintendo. I never really played it that much, but I spent hours upon hours watching my sister play it. I remember getting nervous every time you entered a cabin and the creepy Jason music came on letting you know he was inside. Ah, the memories. Now I really want to play the game and watch the first two movies.
